Hikers can follow the walking trail as far as Hendaye, while cyclists can venture along the 58 km-long smugglers' route that will allow them to discover the walled town of Ainhoa and the famous village of Espelette.
You can also discover the Basque region's natural environment and landscapes while indulging in a round of golf at the Chantaco golf club. The club is only 2 km from the Hôtel de Paris and boasts magnificent views over La Rhune mountain.
Finally, do not miss out on the opportunity of a ride aboard the legendary Rhune train, which leaves from Sare, just 10 km from Saint-Jean-de-Luz.
This rack railway dates back to 1924 and will take you to the summit of La Rhune (altitude of 905 m), in the heart of the natural environment with unrestricted views over the Pyrenees and the Basque coastline.
Visiting this region's tourist hotspot could not be easier: simply go to the coach station opposite the Hôtel de Paris.
